A defining pose for McDoogle that shows the features of its design. The feathery top as an obvious accent, combined with the characteristic ears, make for a recognizable design. The androgynous influence of feminine and doughy features, McDoogle is designed to be universally identifiable.

ENVIRONMENT DESIGN
Derk Over had a leading part in defining the environmental design for the animatic as art director. By the use of 2d/3d editing, a style would be created that closely resembles the current execution of 3D Visual Art.
As is able to see in this picture, the work final setdressing (left) rather represents a vision of how the final element could look like (right)

Developing Artstyle - Intergration of Character and environment
The pictures above are compositions made to communicate the art style and the manner of set dressing to the rest of the team. As they are compilations in Autodesk Maya, the scenes were used as reference for in scene camera's and animation.
Compositing/SetDRessing
During the last semester of the project, Derk Over was the compositor after having helped build the lights in the scene. Keeping a uniformity in the renders during the transition between styles was a challenge. To enhance the suggested "flatness" in the shots, the foreground was made a prominent silhouette so create a intended aggravation between focus points. (bottom right)
